About Us
The Timothy School is the oldest non-profit approved private school in Pennsylvania devoted exclusively to teaching students with autism. Since 1966, we have worked to develop an understanding of autism that recognizes the strengths and uniqueness of our children and the specialized methods needed to expand their educational opportunities.
The Timothy School is more than a place of learning—it is where students with autism discover their voices, build friendships and prepare for independence. Many arrive non-verbal or minimally verbal, and by the time they leave they have the tools to communicate, develop life skills, advocate for themselves and gain job experience.
With every milestone reached, confidence grows—not only for our students but for their parents who see what their child can achieve. For more than 60 years, we have offered possibilities once out of reach.
We believe every student is capable of communicating, learning and interacting, and we meet them where they are to find their path to success.
Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding opportunities through partnerships and Consultative & Training Services, helping more schools and organizations embrace true inclusion.
