Prevocational Program
Prevocational Program
Independence doesn’t begin after graduation — it’s built step by step, every day. Our Pre-Vocational Program provides on-campus internship experiences that give students the chance to practice real-world skills in a supportive environment.
Learning Through Experience
Students rotate through a variety of on-campus roles designed to teach responsibility, teamwork and independence. Each experience is tailored to match ability levels while encouraging growth and confidence.
Current internship opportunities include:
-
Coffee Cart – Preparing and serving drinks, handling money and practicing customer service
-
Popcorn Cart – Managing inventory, preparing orders and delivering popcorn
-
School Store – Stocking shelves, assisting customers and learning basic retail skills
-
TimTV – Producing school announcements, practicing communication and building media skills
-
Timothy Cleaners – Learning organization and responsibility through laundry and cleaning tasks
-
Timothy Crafters – Creating handmade items that are sold at community events to support The Timothy Fund
Skills That Last a Lifetime
Through these on-campus internships, students develop:
-
Work readiness skills – arriving on time, following schedules and completing tasks
-
Communication and social skills – interacting with staff, peers and customers
- Life skills – managing money, practicing organization and building confidence in routines
Preparing for the Future
The Pre-Vocational Program gives students a safe and structured place to make mistakes, try again and build the skills they will need for off-campus internships and, ultimately, for life after graduation. It is an essential bridge between classroom learning and the wider community.
