Secondary Program
Secondary Program
Our Secondary Program serves young adults ages 17–21, focusing on transition planning, vocational training, independent living skills, functional academics and community-based learning. Each student begins with a vocational assessment that guides an individualized transition plan.
On campus, students use the Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) to explore career paths and practice job behaviors in a simulated worksite. Daily routines build independent living skills—students budget, grocery shop, prepare meals, clean up and practice healthy habits in food and fitness. As they grow in confidence, students write resumes, practice interviewing and gain authentic work experience with community partners such as Wawa, Peppers by Amadeo's Restaurant, the Berwyn Public Library, Holiday Inn Express and Daylesford Crossing. These opportunities prepare students for life beyond school and foster pride in their their contributions to the community.
